Our 2019 Syrah is a dense, smokey ruby red and offers aromas of blueberry, raspberry compote, anise and a heady herbaceousness with notes of uncured bacon. On the palate the mouthfeel is warm and welcoming. Find rich flavors of raspberry, black plum and blackberry with notes of cocoa and white pepper. Though the tannins are smooth and soft the finish is concise as the pleasing acidity invites another sip.
Winemaker Notes
From three vineyards in the Columbia Valley with three very different profiles: Richness and depth from Minnick Hills in Walla Walla, cherry and pie spice from FireThorn in Echo, Oregon, and savory blueberry aroma from Portteus near Zillah. This Syrah was co-fermented a little bit of Viognier, which is the tradition in the northern Rhone Valley, the home of Syrah.
