Our newest version of Rosé is best described as "Summertime in a glass." Saignée from Grenache, Dolcetto and Cabernet Sauvignon. Saignée ("sohn-yay") in French means "to bleed" and is a method of "bleeding" off a portion of red wine juices. The resulting flavors from a saignée style of rosé will tend to be riper, which is the case here. We selected juice with the right amount of acidity to make a rosé that is both refreshing and a little bit luscious.
This bright, salmon colored wine fuller bodied with intriguing floral aromas of peony, elderflower and fresh lavender with notes of rainier cherry and raspberries. On the palate fine under ripe strawberries, lemon zest and notes of chicory, rose hips and dandelion. The finish is weighty yet refreshingly bright with subtle notes of kiwi fruit and pomegranate. Enjoy with steamed little neck clams with fennel, wild mushroom tart or grilled One Straw Ranch bratwurst
