As we enter the final season of Port Townsend Vineyards, we know there will be questions about the months ahead. Below is what we know today. As we move through this transition, some dates, operating hours, events, and offerings may naturally evolve. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding, and we’ll continue to keep you updated along the way.
Why are you closing?
After much thought, we’ve decided this is the right time for us to conclude this chapter and begin the next one. This wasn’t a decision made lightly, nor was it driven by any one event or circumstance.
After more than 30 years of living, working, and raising our family in Port Townsend—and 12 years since we began creating Port Townsend Vineyards—we feel this is the right time for our next chapter.
As we celebrate our tenth year of Winery operations, we do so with tremendous gratitude for everything we’ve experienced and great pride in what we’ve built together.
When will Port Townsend Vineyards close?
Our current plan is to conclude operations at the beginning of 2027.
Our operating days and hours will evolve as we move through the fall and winter, and we’ll continue to share the most current schedule on our website.
What happens to Vintage?
Vintage will continue operating through September 2026. Beginning in October, tasting room operations will move exclusively to the Winery for the remainder of our final season.
We hope you’ll visit us at Vintage during its final weeks and help us celebrate a space that has been such a special part of Port Townsend Vineyards.
Will the Winery remain open after September?
Yes. The Winery will continue welcoming guests throughout the fall and into the beginning of 2027.
Our operating days and hours will change as we move through the season, so we encourage you to check our website for the most current schedule.
We’ll continue with Wine Club events, live music afternoons, gatherings, and other opportunities to celebrate together throughout the months ahead.
When is the Fall Wine Club Release?
Our Fall Wine Club Release Weekend will take place September 25–27, followed by four consecutive Saturdays in October for Wine Club pickups and final-season celebrations.
Complete allocation details, including featured wines, purchasing opportunities, pickup information, and other details, will be shared directly with Wine Club members.
Can I still join the Wine Club?
Yes. We’ll continue welcoming new Wine Club members while Port Townsend Vineyards remains in operation.
Because we are in our final season, new members will be made aware that membership benefits, allocations, events, tastings, and other opportunities will be available only during our remaining period of operation.
Will my Wine Club benefits still be honored?
Yes. We’ll continue serving our Wine Club members throughout our final season.
Wine Club benefits will continue according to our operating schedule and while applicable wines, tastings, events, and experiences remain available. Members will receive direct communication about the fall allocation, pickup opportunities, benefits, and any important deadlines.
Can I still order wine online or have wine shipped?
Yes. Online ordering and shipping will continue during our final season while wines remain available.
As we get closer to concluding operations, we’ll provide updates regarding final ordering and shipping dates.
Will tastings still be available?
Yes. We’ll continue welcoming guests for wine tastings and experiences throughout our final season, subject to our operating schedule and availability.

What about gift cards, tasting certificates, and donated vouchers?
Gift cards, tasting certificates, and donated vouchers should be redeemed by October 31, 2026.
We encourage you to redeem them as early as possible so you have the greatest selection of available wines, experiences, and dates.
Are private events still being accepted?
We’ll continue to honor all confirmed events and may accept select additional bookings depending on availability, timing, and our operating schedule.
Please contact us directly if you’re interested in hosting an event during our final season.
What if I already have a private event booked?
Confirmed events will continue as scheduled. If anything changes that affects your event, we’ll contact you directly.
Will there still be live music and special events?
Yes. Live music and gatherings have been such an important part of Port Townsend Vineyards, and we’re looking forward to continuing them throughout our final season.
We hope you’ll join us for an afternoon of live music, a glass of wine, and time together at the Winery. Our event schedule will be updated regularly on our website and social media.
What will happen to the property?
Right now, our focus is on celebrating this final season with our employees, Wine Club members, guests, and community.
There are no future property plans to announce at this time. If there are updates to share about either property, we’ll communicate them at the appropriate time.
Is Port Townsend Vineyards being sold to another owner?
There is no sale of the Port Townsend Vineyards business to announce. Our current plan is to conclude Port Townsend Vineyards operations following our final season.
What happens to your employees?
Our team has been an important part of Port Townsend Vineyards from the very beginning. We’re incredibly proud of the people who have helped shape the winery over the years—from those who welcomed our guests to those who helped create our wines and experiences.
We’re committed to supporting our employees throughout this transition and are deeply grateful for their talent, dedication, and everything they’ve contributed.
