2019 Mourvèdre

2019 Mourvèdre

A beautiful day bright, brick red coloration, yet not opaque, our 2019 Mourvedre offers invigorating aromas of rose petal, jammy black fruit, baking spice and crushed lava rock. Rich mouth warming flavors of black plum and black cherry are backed by notes of spicy black pepper. The spiciness continues on the finish though the rich fruit flavors of ripe raspberry, strawberry and bright cranberry are what linger on the palate and bring finesse to the tannic structure of this wine.

Winemaker Notes
Often grown alongside Syrah and Grenache, Mourvedre seems a little harder to pin down. We tend to like wines with a nice blend of earth notes and fruit, and this wine oblidges. the grapes were picked on October 18 in order catch them at their full ripeness. All work was done by hand to maximize the earthy potential of the wine.
