This is our rustic Bordeaux blend from the Columbia Valley, in the classic "Claret" style. Our Columbia Valley Red blend is an opaque deep dark red with aromas of ripe blackberry, black currants, woody herbs and jasmine. On the palate find flavors of black plum, cassis, dried figs and baking spice that linger throughout the dry full flavored finish. This wine has a pleasing astringency that makes it a perfect companion for grilled or smoked meats.
This blend was selected from easier drinking barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the Columbia Valley, with some complementary barrels of Merlot and Malbec.
