2019 Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Firethorn
This single vineyard expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from our Columbia Valley partner, Firethorn Vineyards, is a deep garnet color. It offers aromas of pipe tobacco, dark cherries, leather, bacon, and camphor. The palate brings a welcome acidity with brooding black currant, plum sauce, notes of tar, baking chocolate, sweet peppercorn and licorice. Tannins come in on the finish with a slight sense of tension and nuances of Assam tea, graphite and black walnut.

Winemaker Notes
Harvested on October 8 from a sustainably-grown vineyard on the Oregon side of the Columbia Valley on sedimentary soils at 800 feet in elevation. Fermented in stainless steel with pumpovers for a smoother extraction of tannins. Aged in a richly toasted French oak barrel for 26 months.
