Our 2018 Pinot Noir is a beautiful bright red garnet color. On the nose find ripe strawberries, cherry cola, and hints of cocoa powder, coconut, and red roses. On the palate the attack is soft and we are greeted by flavors of jellied cranberries, raspberries, and red cherries followed by intriguing herbal notes and a hint of lavender tea. This wine's finish is long and dry with lingering flavors of anise, chocolate and dark red cherries.
This biodynamically grown wine consists of the fruit from 3 Pinot Noir clones (115,667, and Wadenswil) from the Willamette Valley. Each clone was fermented separately, with 25% whole cluster inclusion before blending back together after barrel aging. With the earthiness of the 667, raspberry of the Wadenswil and floral notes of the 115, we expect to see this develop a very interesting bouquet.
This is the perfect wine for Grilled Duck Breast, Steelhead Trout or a chilled Eggplant Moussaka with warm pita bread.
