2021 Estate Madeleine Angevine

2021 Estate Madeleine Angevine

Port Townsend Vineyards 2001 Estate Madeleine Angevine is a bright platinum color and offers delicious aromas of white pepper, grapefruit, clover flower and quince. On the palate find flavors of fresh citrus and green apple with notes of tangerine pith and candied orange peel. The finish is long with persistent flavors of baked pear, ginger and lemon. Though the wine displays food friendly acidity it develops a rich and luscious mouth feel that lingers long after your last sip.

Winemaker Notes
Picked by our crew and friends on October 11. We fermented the juice as simply as possible in stainless steel to highlight the delightful herbal nature of this grape as it growns on Portuguese Hill. The goal was a fresh and interesting wine to pair with our local seafood that grows in the same climate.
Food Pairing Notes
Dungeness crab cakes, zucchini fritters, grilled pork and apple sausage
