On the nose we are greeted by aromas of red plum, tobacco, cinnamon, jasmine flower and smoked meat. On the palate find luscious flavors of ripe strawberry mingled with little wild blackberry, cocoa and baking spice. The mouthfeel is soft and satisfying and the wine finishes dry with a lingering minerality, flavors of sauced cranberry, cacao and fresh herbs.
2021 Riviere Blanc- Judge's Pick at the 2022 Sip Magazine wine competition. As a tribute to Bordeaux and eastern Washington's rivers, Riviere Blanc emerges, a white wine that marries Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon in harmonious union. Fully ripened Sauvignon Blanc's verdancy complements Semillon's honeycombed elegance, offering a symphony of flavors. Ideal for cheese plates and fresh caught crab from Port Townsend Bay, this blend captures the essence of river-kissed vines. Harvested on September 9 and 13, this 50/50 blend embraces the warmth of the vintage while retaining vibrant acidity and tension.
