2018 Cabernet Franc: This pale red wine has aromas of fresh flowers, smokey bacon, cassis, ripe plum and caramel. On the palate find bramble, ripe raspberries, cayenne pepper spiced chocolate and a touch of apple peel. The finish is powerful yet silky with lingering flavors of black cherry and ripe raspberries highlighted by hints of cocoa bean, mint and leather. 

Picked from the Riverview block overlooking the Umatilla River as it flows to the Columbia. This Cab Franc was blended from a selection of the freerun barrels that brought forth the structure and fine tannins that this variety is known for. Twenty months in mostly new French oak barrels mellowed out the wine just enough to give it an elegance that suits the intensity of the fruit.

Enjoy with duck Sausage with fennel and peppercorns, grilled albacore tuna and butternut squash.

2018 Cabernet Sauvignon: The deeply concentrated garnet color foreshadows the intensity of this wine. Bold aromas of ripe blackberries and black cherries are backed by notes of vanilla and cardamom seeds. On the palate find rich bramble and deep black plum backed by flavors of black olive, mint and under ripe raspberry. The finish is long and full with pronounced but pleasant tannins, lingering black fruit flavors and rich notes of toasted brioche.

2018 Diciotto: "Super Tuscan," a blend of Sangiovese and Bordeaux varieties that reminded us most of Tuscany. We highlighted classic ripe plum flavors and brought an extra richness and structure not normally present in our Sangiovese. At first glance, this wine is a rich dark red with sunset highlights and as you breathe in you'll find aromas of bright red raspberry, black plum, blackberry and black cherry with notes of red roses, cocoa and black pepper. Our Diciotto shows balance on the pallet with abundant black fruit flavors with undertones of savory herbs and leather. The tannins are soft and mouth watering and the wine finishes dry with lingering flavors of red cherry and dried rosemary. Open a bottle tonight with braised lamb shank- demi glace, cipollini onion and mushroom tart, or seafood cioppino.
