A bright, yet weighty wine that will compliment a variety of fall flavors or be right at home around the fire pit. Picked on the second of October in a vintage without heat spikes, it was therefore ideal for these aromatic white grapes. A very long and cool fermentation in stainless steel retained the lovely aromas endemic to the Viognier grape.
This pale straw wine shows aromas of green apple, caramel, raw pine nuts and freesia flowers and offers rich flavors of ripe pear and nectarine backed by notes of under ripe apricot. The finish lingers with flavors of luscious white peach and pleasant acidity reminiscent of Duncan grapefruit.
Pair with roasted squash, baked halibut with smoked paprika, or grilled port tenderolin with apples.
